I paint using synthetic and acrylic enamel, adding some details in oil. Flowers are a symbol of universal beauty, but what I want to do is move away from that idea and break it, bringing them closer to something primitive, psychedelic, and unique.
Ultimately, my work is dynamic, where colors and shapes take over. Sometimes the flowers appear furious. They scream in search of a festive aesthetic.
When I was at art school, I painted some flowers that my teacher liked. He told me that flowers are usually corny, but that mine had character.
Staying with this same idea, I simply want to paint flowers that surprise the viewer.
